Local Family
Child Care Association
Recently local family child care providers met and held their first organizational meeting to form a local association under the Virginia Alliance of Family Child Care Association.

Local child care providers were recognized on May 16, 2008 for their dedication and loving care for area families and children. Mildred Stone was honored for her 35 years of service and retirement. Juanita Lee and Darlene Ingram were honored for their qualification as military accredited providers. Juanita Lee was also honored for attainment of a Child Development Associate. Michele Dawson and Michele Miller were honored for their distinction as nationally accredited family child care providers. The event was sponsored by Child and Family Connection and the City of Williamsburg, Dept. of Human Services. MLM Events of Newport News, donated their time in planning the reception.

Toddlers, and Their Families

This course is designed especially for those who care for children under three years old. The ten hour training is divided into three sessions. You may
